Welcome to my "blog"
I decided that I wanted a page where I could just talk about things that were on my mind. So here you go.
5/13/17 - My Birthday
I am no longer a teenager. That is a weird thing to think about. A big 20 years old. It turned out to be a great day. Actually the time my birthday falls is perfect weather wise in my opinion. It was sunny and got up to 80 degrees F today. Aside from the weather, my birthday is close to many things. My special day has fallen on Mother's day at least once if not twice. It also so happened to be on the day of my final band concert senior year. A few people knew about it but the band directors didn't know until after the concert. Finally, my birthday happens right before finals. Yes. this year my finals start the fifteenth. I did not do any studying today. I just wanted to relax as much as possible. I helped my dad take apart our old picnic table. After that, I made some Mac and Cheese for lunch. Following that I set up a hammock my mom picked up from someone who was throwing it away. I finally found a use for that paracord I bought. It said it could hold 550 pounds, so I used that and rigged the hammock up between our swingset and our neighbor's tree. After a couple of more hours of being lazy, it was time for dinner. My dad had ordered some pizza for my dinner. It was fine. CAAAAAAKE. Yeah.. I opened up my gifts and then I went outside and had a bonfire. That was really just it. Interesting thing is, the only card I got was from my grandparents on my dad;s side. Maybe others are to come soon. i really don't know. The one gift I was most excited to get was a swiss army knife. I never had one and I thought it would be cool to have one. It's just another "survival" gadget to add on to the stuff I already have. Now the day's almost over and it's back to the old grind and studying for finals.
I had my first final today. It was for my Environmental Bio class. I did some studying, but I felt like I could have done more. I was the last one in the classroom to finish; there was probably someone in the testing center still taking theirs. Anyway, it was 85 questions and a total of one hundred something points. As I turned in my final, my professor told me again that I was her favorite student. She also told me I had a 99% in the class because of attendance points and lots of extra credit. I felt much better. I looked up what i would have needed to keep the A in the class and it was about a 46% or something. I could've calculated that wrong. To celebrate my hardest final being over, I went to 7-11 to get a slurpee. They actually had good flavors this time. I put lemonade, watermelon kiwi, and some wild berry flavor. It was ok, but like usual, it melted easily. Aside from that, I wrapped a present for a gift exchange I'm doing tomorrow, ate dinner, and played some Wii. That's it for today!
